  • WalthersMainline EMD GP9 HH Phase II DCC w-Sound locomotives are based on as-built units produced from 1955 to 1957, featuring a standard high short hood and accurate Phase II details.
  • The Walthers Mainline EMD GP9 Phase II features a scale-width hood with correct contours, plus front and rear footboards and see-through steps. Models are available with or without dynamic brakes as appropriate for the selected prototype. This limited-edition run includes unique roadnumbers and is offered with ESU Sound for DCC and DC layouts.
  • The WalthersMainline EMD GP9 HH Phase II DCC w-Sound features the same powerful drive used in WalthersProto® locomotives, including a five-pole skew-wound motor, 14:1 gear ratio, helical-cut gears for quiet operation, all-wheel drive and electrical pickup, a machined brass flywheel, and a heavy die-cast metal chassis. Constant and directional LED headlights provide realistic illumination.
  • A 21-pin DCC plug is included, while molded drill starter points make it easy to add grab irons using the GP9 Phase II Diesel Detail Kit (#910-258, sold separately).
