  • The Walthers HO 70' Single-Track Through Girder Bridge kit is based on one of the most common North American railroad bridge designs and adds realistic structural detail to HO Scale layouts. Part of the Cornerstone® Engineered Bridge System, this bridge is designed to be compatible with system abutments and bridge piers. Plate-girder bridges have been used for many decades to cross short distances, typically from 30 to 90 feet (9.1 to 30.4 meters), and are commonly used where railroads need additional clearance above highways, waterways, and other railroads.
  • The Walthers HO 70' Single-Track Through Girder Bridge represents the classic through-girder design, constructed from several steel sections riveted together to form the main girders. It is known as a through type because the track passes between the girders rather than on top of the spans. The kit can be built as a single-track bridge and includes an optional center girder for easy conversion to double-track or a wider right-of-way when combining kits.
  • The bridge can be built with an open or ballasted deck and is ideal for use with WalthersTrack Code 83 Bridge Track 948-83004 or other trackage of your choice. Molded dark gray plastic parts feature authentic rivets and other fine details for a realistic appearance. The bridge is also well suited as an approach span for larger Cornerstone and other bridge kits and can be easily added to new or existing scenery.
