  • The Tamiya 1-35 German King Tiger is a detailed scale model kit depicting one of the most formidable German heavy tanks of World War II. Introduced in 1944, the King Tiger combined heavy armor with the powerful L/71 88mm gun and became an important part of Germany's late-war armored forces. This model specifically recreates the Henschel production turret version associated with the mass-produced vehicles that followed the initial Porsche-turret examples.
  • The Tamiya 1-35 German King Tiger includes precision components designed to give experienced scale modelers an authentic representation of the tank. Photo-etched parts from Aber® reproduce fine details such as equipment fasteners, periscope components, fender attachment points, and engine grille covers. An aluminum gun barrel with a brass muzzle brake adds further definition to the main armament and enhances the finished model's realistic appearance.
  • The kit also provides parts for two different gun mantlet configurations, giving builders additional options during assembly. The rear escape hatch is movable, while other hatches can be positioned in either an open or closed configuration. These features allow modelers to create a display with greater visual variety and customize the presentation of the completed vehicle.
  • The Tamiya 1-35 German King Tiger also includes a late-war DKW NZ350 motorcycle, reflecting the type of equipment used alongside German military units during the final years of the conflict. Three figures are supplied to portray a courier, commander, and loader, providing opportunities to create a more complete historical display. The subject is particularly suited to dioramas inspired by the Ardennes offensive of December 1944.
  • As a Limited Edition Collaboration Kit, this release combines Tamiya's scale-model engineering with specialized aftermarket components from Aber®. The combination of photo-etched details, a metal gun barrel, optional hatch positions, figures, and an accompanying motorcycle makes it an engaging project for modelers seeking a highly detailed late-war German armored vehicle display.
