  • Walthers N Through-Plate Girder Bridge is a detailed Cornerstone kit based on one of the most common North American railroad bridge designs. Through-plate girder bridges were widely used for decades to cross short distances and as approach spans for longer bridges. Their steel sections are assembled and riveted together to create strong girders, while the track passes between the girders rather than directly on top of them.
  • This Walthers N Through-Plate Girder Bridge kit is an excellent addition to N Scale railroad layouts and can be used in steam-, diesel-, and modern-era scenes. It is especially useful where additional clearance is required above highways, waterways, or other railroad tracks. The kit includes risers that allow it to be modeled as an approach span for the Cornerstone Single-Track Arched Pratt Truss Bridge (933-3870), sold separately.
  • The bridge can be assembled as either a single-track or double-track structure using the included parts, giving modelers greater flexibility when designing their layouts. Authentic rivet details and other molded features add realistic character and help create a convincing railroad scene.
  • The Walthers N Through-Plate Girder Bridge is molded in dark gray plastic and can be easily incorporated into new or existing scenery. For expanded bridge scenes, it can be combined with the Cornerstone Double-Track Truss Bridge (933-3242), Bridge Pier 2-Pack (933-3880), and Bridge Abutment 2-Pack (933-3881), each sold separately. The design is also adaptable to many other N Scale bridges.
