Kadee 212 Talgo Truck Adaptors 24 are designed to convert Talgo truck coupler pockets for use with a wide range of Kadee couplers and Whisker® couplers. This 24-pack provides model railroaders with a simple solution for improving HO scale rolling stock performance and achieving more reliable coupler operation.
The Kadee 212 Talgo Truck Adaptors 24 work with Kadee No. 5®, #58, 20-series couplers (#21, #22, #23, #24, #26, #27, #28, and #29) as well as all Whisker® couplers. These adaptors replace the original Talgo truck coupler mounting system and provide a new pivoting post to secure the coupler properly in place.
For installation, use the #230 Talgo Insertion Pick to insert the adaptor into the Talgo truck coupler pocket. Before installing the adaptor, check the coupler height using a #205 or newer #206 HO coupler height gauge. Proper height adjustment should be completed before insertion because removing the adaptor afterward may damage the truck or coupler pocket.
Once the coupler height is correct, press the #230 insertion pick into the top of the adaptor. Align the coupler pivot hole over the pin on the flexible arm inside the pocket, then press the adaptor downward until it snaps securely under the retaining plates. The adaptor locks the coupler into position while allowing proper operation.
