Incline & Decline Starter Sections are designed to help model railroaders create smooth elevation changes when building grades on a layout. Each section measures 2 1/2 inches wide by 24 inches long, providing a consistent starting point for creating gradual inclines and declines. These sections are useful for layouts that require track to transition from one level to another while maintaining a controlled grade.
The available sections provide three different grade options to accommodate different layout designs. The 2% grade pieces elevate from 0 to 1/2 inch within a 24-inch length, with 8 pieces included. The 3% grade pieces elevate from 0 to 3/4 inch within 24 inches, with 6 pieces included. The 4% grade pieces elevate from 0 to 1 inch within 24 inches, with 4 pieces included.
Incline & Decline Starter Sections give hobbyists flexibility when planning elevation changes for track and scenery. Choosing the appropriate grade allows modelers to match the elevation requirements of their layout and create transitions that fit the available space. The different height options also make it easier to select a grade based on the desired track plan and overall layout design.
For model railroad construction, Incline & Decline Starter Sections provide a practical way to begin building gradual elevation changes. Their 2 1/2-inch width and 24-inch length provide defined dimensions for planning, while the three available grade options give hobbyists several choices for creating raised or lowered track sections. These components can be incorporated into new layouts or used when modifying existing model railroad projects.
