About Us

Welcome to Doc's Caboose, Kansas City's premiere model train store since 2002!

We specialize in HO and N scale model trains and accessories including scratch building materials, tools, scenery supplies and much more. We also have plastic model kits and pine car derby items.

We are located in the West Bottoms on the northwest corner of Hickory Street
and Union Avenue, just a few feet from the Union Pacific Railroad mainline.

Open: Thursday - Sunday 11:00 am to 4:00 pm (CST).
Closed: Monday - Wednesday.

Beginning in 2002, Doc's Caboose has been owned and operated by Doc Snyder. Doc has worked in the printing industry as an art director and production manager. He attended the Kansas City Art Institute and continues to create art with a focus on screen printing and sculpture work. Click here to view some of Doc's artwork.
